Rautaruukki entitled to use the name Ruukki

In a decision announced on 16 November 2006, Helsinki District Court rejected all
the claims of Ruukki Group Oyj and ordered Ruukki Group to indemnify
Rautaruukki's legal costs. Ruukki Group had demanded that Rautaruukki be
prohibited from using the name "ruukki" and claimed damages for use of the name.
The district court noted that if the commercial name "ruukki" is identified with
anything at all, it is identified with Rautaruukki, whose marketing name "ruukki"
is included in the name of the company.
